Dolly Parton inspired plate illustration workshop 07.11.26 -Morning

10 am -1.00pm ish 

Come along for a relaxed morning of drawing, doodling and playing with lettering, as you create your very own Dolly Parton-inspired vintage plate.

Choose a favourite Dolly lyric or phrase and bring it to life with your own illustrations, imagery and hand-drawn typography. I’ll guide you through the process, have loads of ideas and inspiration and help you create something completely your own.

I’ll have a selection of vintage dinner and side plates to choose from, or you’re very welcome to bring your own — perhaps a much-loved family plate that you’d like to give a new lease of life and put on the wall. Please note these plates will not be suitable for eating from and are intended for the wall. 

There’ll be tea, coffee, cake and Dolly.

I’ll take your finished plates away afterwards to cure the designs and fit the hooks, ready for hanging.  You can collect from The Find in Ouseburn the following week or from Mushroom works at Open Studios weekend. You can probably make a larger and a smaller plate depending on detail, patterns chosen and how quickly you work. 

We’ll have a Dolly good time!

Materials included 

My studio is an upstairs space in a building with no lift. I work at a high table standing or on a high stool. If you’d prefer a Lower table and chair please let me know as a couple of these are available. Please email when booking to request this 

If the first floor via stairs is inaccessible please email me so I can arrange a downstairs space.
